Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at the Harlingen Outpatient Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history and physical examinations, to identify anesthetic considerations.
  • Order diagnostic studies, such as laboratory tests and imaging, to inform patient care.
  • Consult with other disciplines as necessary to complete patient evaluations.
  • Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities, including education and shared decision-making.
  • Teach students from various fields and specialties.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas.
  • Experience in ambulatory care and anesthesia.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, with occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed.
