Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient Laboratory Technical Manager who possesses a wealth of experience in managing small to medium-sized laboratories. This pivotal role is essential for overseeing the laboratory's daily functions, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and leading a team of skilled laboratory technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct laboratory personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance assessments.
- Focus on expanding the business commercially while ensuring operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards, including AIHA-LAP, LLC, A2LA, and ISO17025, along with state certifications.
- Develop and enforce laboratory policies and procedures to uphold industry regulations.
- Ensure efficient workflow and prompt delivery of laboratory results.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test outcomes.
- Keep meticulous records of all laboratory activities, including test results and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials in line with established safety protocols.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in laboratory technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, physical sciences, or engineering, with at least 16 credit hours in biology and a minimum of two years of laboratory experience.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in supervising and training laboratory teams.
- Collaborative experience with sales and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision in laboratory testing.
- Familiarity with food and indoor air quality terminology.
- Experience with document management systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of laboratory technicians.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting laboratory challenges.
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes.
