Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all housekeeping storage closets are properly stocked, organized, and clean.
  • Log and store lost and found articles in a secure and organized manner.
  • Maintain hallways and public areas free of trash, soiled linen, and other guest service equipment.
  • Perform housekeeper duties as needed or assigned to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in maintaining food quality and service standards, as well as food sanitation and handling procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team through logs, daily stand-up meetings, and monthly department meetings.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining inventory, processing payroll, and handling accounting and purchasing functions.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the housekeeping department and surrounding areas.
  • Inspect fixtures, equipment, and room conditions to ensure proper operation, settings, and maintenance, and report any deficiencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assist in supervising all associates in the housekeeping and laundry departments, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with our organization's policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • 6-12 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including Outlook email, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

Work Environment

The Assistant Executive Housekeeper will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the supervisor is frequently exposed to chemicals and dust, and occasionally exposed to odors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
