About the Role

As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator with Top Secret Clearance Jobs, you will be part of a dedicated team helping those with exclusive security clearance find their next career opportunity. Your primary goal will be to facilitate interviews within 48 hours.

This position is a Direct Hire Public Notice with the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Professional Responsibility, Investigative Operations Directorate. You can expect to work in Miami, FL or Los Angeles, CA locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform full-range supervisory duties, serving as a liaison for agency personnel engaged in criminal investigations
  • Identify resource needs and coordinate jurisdictional issues with other law enforcement agencies
  • Ensure effective workforce identification of elements of proof, development of investigative plans, evidence collection, and witness/subject interviews
  • Communicate performance requirements and evaluate work performance
Requirements
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must register with Selective Service
  • Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
  • Background investigation and/or polygraph possible
  • CBPR follows DHS Drug-Free Workplace Plan for drug testing procedures
Salary and Benefits

This position starts at $122,198 (GS-14 Step 1) to $158,860 (GS-14 Step 10) with promotion potential to $158,860 (GS-14 Step 10). You may receive additional benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plan, life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, training and development opportunities, and more.

Qualifications
  • One year of specialized experience performing duties like conducting investigations, preparing reports, and mentoring less experienced agents
  • Possess a valid driver's license and ability to operate a government-owned vehicle
  • Meet initial and continuing qualifications in firearm use
Additional Information

Please note that this role requires Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP), calculated at 25% of base salary, for working on an unscheduled basis beyond regular hours.
