National Account Manager

About the Role:
Ferrellgas is seeking a National Account Manager to cultivate strong, strategic relationships with existing customers and develop a plan to grow new national and large regional accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implements strategies and sales plans to grow Blue Rhino sales and profitability with assigned national and regional accounts.
- Works closely with a National Account Coordinator to support business needs.
- Collaborates with the Senior Director of Sales and other Blue Rhino Sales team members.
- Manages key category management relationships within current customer base, penetrating multiple layers and departments within each customer's organization.
- Works on key project initiatives for Blue Rhino.
- Creates strategies and works opportunities to increase comp store sales with existing customers.
- Keeps competitors at bay with defensive strategies to support existing accounts.
- Actively works to onboard new customers
- Works with the Operations to add profitable locations in targeted markets to help create efficiencies and build account density
- Collaboratively works with Ferrellgas Sales and Operations teams to build the collective business
- Leverages trade associations and other affiliations to grow existing and new account business.
- Analyzes financial modeling information to determine ROI and forecasted profitability.
- Actively utilizes Salesforce CRM to manage existing customer engagements/opportunities, new leads, prospects and new accounts.
- Interacts with category buyers and business analysts.
- Identifies, analyzes, and addresses business issues and competitive market trends/opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing.
- 2+ years with CPG sales account management and/or marketing account management experience.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategy and plans.
- Ability to travel for special project work and events.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Worked with Scan Based Trading/POS driven programs.
- Understands CPG store environment and customers/consumers.
- Strong PC/technical skills including proficiencies in MS Office, CRM software, and Power BI.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Category management background a plus.
- Sales training programs completed with previous positions preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.

- Contract management software experience a plus.
- Well established organization and self-motivation skills
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
