About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machining Equipment Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems USA. As a key member of our Platforms & Services sector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uptime and productivity of our CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take end-to-end ownership of equipment improvement projects, from concept to implementation.
  • Provide engineering support for planned and unplanned repairs, modifications, and upgrades of CNC machining production equipment.
  • Support day-to-day resolution of technical issues facing the team and maximize critical production equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with CNC machining operations and repair.
  • 4+ years of professional or internship/project hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Physical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying equipment up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
  • Available to work extended hours and some weekends.
  • Willing to travel for short trips as needed, up to 10% travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of maintenance planning.
  • 2+ years of supporting troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading maintenance technicians through complicated technical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experience with Siemens CNC control systems 840D.
  • Experience with CNC, multi-axis milling, and turning technology.
