Job Title: Quality Operations Specialist

Rand Precision Machining is seeking a highly skilled Quality Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Quality Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing processes and procedures to improve our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate source inspections of products with customers as required.
  • Review product certification documentation and CofC prepared by other Quality personnel.
  • Review dimensional inspection data for FAI/FAAT submittals of finished product.
  • Assist Quality Engineering with FAI/FAAT submittals in AS9102 and/or customer-specific format.
  • Log nonconformances into the system.
  • Create final inspection control plans (AIE) for new and existing products.
  • Create manufacturing inspection control plans for new and existing products.
  • Balloon customer and manufacturing drawings as part of inspection control plans.
  • Understand customer and industry quality requirements for products during the Quality Planning phase for new products and for existing products.
  • Interact with Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineering personnel to establish best inspection methods.
  • Define MeasurLink SPC data collection routines at the direction of Quality Engineering.
  • Monitor SPC collection software ensuring compliance to minimum process capability indices (Cp, Cpk) and report results.
  • Assist Quality Control and Quality Engineering in performing Gage R&R studies.
  • Add and Assign Activities and Actions for QA and QC into Quality Planning / Task Management System.
Requirements:
  • Ability to interface with Quality representatives of customers, including US Government.
  • AS9102 FAI package submission experience.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and methods.
  • Knowledge in statistical process concepts such as variation, stability, control charts, and process capability.
  • Knowledge of various dimensional inspection methods and tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, precision blocks, height gages, Optical comparator, CMM, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain required work records and Quality System Documentation.
  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail.
  • DISCUS ballooning software experience.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 QMS standards.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to take actions and activities from multitude of areas and assign into a planning / task management system.

Job Type:

Pay: $27.00 per hour.

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Overtime.

Minimum Salary: 24.00.

Maximum Salary: 27.00.

Salary Unit: Hourly.
