We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to fill a critical role in our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery, including auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and diagnose production machinery issues, including auxiliary equipment, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pneumatics.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and complete necessary repairs identified during the inspections.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as established by the company.
- Efficiently repair machines to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct miscellaneous repairs to the facility as needed.
- Oversee and coordinate with outside contractors for various maintenance tasks.
- Interpret and work from prints, plans, sketches, and layouts.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment for accurate repairs and adjustments.
- Operate electric and hand-operated tools, including drills, grinders, and presses.
- Maintain close attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and equipment performance data.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance technicians and other team members as needed.
- Be available for on-call duty to respond to emergency maintenance requests outside of regular working hours.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
- 7-10 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding schematics and drawings.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
- Electrical knowledge is preferred.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) or OSHA safety certifications, are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a team environment and collaborating with other departments.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to move or transfer products using an overhead crane and forklift.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods.
- Exposure to loud noises, temperature variations, and potentially hazardous materials.
- Capability to work at heights when required.
