Job Title: Release/Build Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Release/Build Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our build environment, source code control system, and issue tracking systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the build environment, source code control system, and issue tracking systems.
  • Create and test builds, resolve issues, and apply labels to files.
  • Communicate build status and proactively identify and implement procedures to streamline the build process.
  • Assist engineering management in making choices for source code management systems and other development and testing tools.
  • Work on multiple releases/projects as a subject matter expert and project leader.
  • Coach more junior technical staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or a Master's degree and 3 years of experience or a High School diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
  • Must be able to work with difficult customers to ensure testing objectives are met accurately and on-time.
  • Proficient in the use of project management, spreadsheet, and database query tools.
  • Has subject matter expertise in release management process.
  • Experience coordinating and planning complex testing activities for a large ERP implementation.
  • Experience conducting testing (e.g., automated, manual, integration, and so forth) on large complex IT projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with the State or with other governments similar in size in terms of annual budget and full-time equivalent (FTE) employee count.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, Visio, and MS Project.
  • Experience implementing PeopleSoft in local and state government.
  • Knowledge of PeopleTools 8.59+ and fluid page development.
  • Experience using PeopleSoft Financials, Human Capital Management (HCM), and associated business intelligence reporting solutions.
  • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist, Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), data modeling certifications, or other related professional certifications.

Target Salary Range:

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
