We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead our CRD Operations and External Development team. As a key member of our Pharmaceutical Sciences Small Molecule team, you will be responsible for guiding the development of process technology for production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and ensuring effective process understanding and transfer of commercial processes to our Pfizer Global Supply partners.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies for API process development, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design and optimize API processes, leveraging technical expertise from PSSM, Medicine Design, and PGS.
- Collaborate with CDMOs to ensure effective technical transfer of commercial processes and regulatory submissions.
- Develop and manage budgets for externalized API development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Provide technical and functional expertise to CRD teams, ensuring sound process chemistry and Green Chemistry principles are applied to the portfolio.
- PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in small molecule API process development.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and developing effective strategies for API process development.
- Strong technical expertise in process chemistry, process engineering, and analytical research & development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with peers.
