Position Overview:
In the role of Senior Eye Care Technician, you will play a vital part in assisting our physicians by managing both clinical and administrative duties. Your tasks will encompass patient interaction, support during procedures, conducting diagnostic tests, and ensuring precise record-keeping.
Core Responsibilities:
- Engage with patients and support physicians
- Perform vision and ocular assessments
- Accurately document examination details
- Ensure patients comprehend instructions
- Mentor junior technicians
- Maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Conduct ancillary testing
- Administer prescribed medications
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Prior experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
Preferred Credentials:
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC)
Work Schedule:
- Rotating shifts, including weekends
Compensation:
- $27.50 per hour
