Job Title: Senior Key Account Specialist

At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Key Account Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Association Health Plans team, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and managing large association accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate activities for large association accounts, including managing daily operations and communication for assigned groups.
  • Prepare proposals in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and oversee proposal and renewal rating processes, including calculations of rates and premium comparisons.
  • Prepare quarterly and monthly reports for consultants and perform service and retention functions for assigned accounts.
  • Explain benefit options, regulations, and laws associated with association sales and enrollment, and provide accurate information and quality customer service to address inquiries, complaints, and concerns.
  • Support service and retention for existing large associations and assist with new sales processes, working with various internal teams to resolve inquiries related to benefits, claims, and billing.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years' work experience in sales coordination, office administration, and/or a business operations position.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a State of Kansas Insurance Agent's license within 60 days of employment and maintain license throughout employment with BCBSKS.
  • Experience in coordinating work in cross-functional teams and maintaining a valid driver's license.
