Key Responsibilities- Prepare non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous medications according to USP 795, 797 and 800 guidelines.
- Perform at higher-level work by ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Responsible for medication handling and delivery, including controlled dangerous substances and hazardous medications.
- Follow proper medication safety practices, including look alike sound alike, high alert, expirations and recalls, temperature and humidity documentation.
- Maintain competency and ongoing training in specialized areas.
- Assist in training of pharmacy personnel, when appropriate.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail and teamwork.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Active registration with NJ Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB or NHA (obtained within 6 months of hiring).
- Hospital pharmacy experience with sterile compounding.
