About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders. They will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual or group settings to support student communication and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and progress.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • A valid Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (preferred) or completion of Clinical Fellowship (CF).
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their full potential.
