As a Pediatric Speech Pathologist Specialist at Disability Solutions, you will play a vital role in enhancing the development and function of children with pediatric conditions, illness, and injury. Your expertise in functional skills will make a significant impact on their lives.

About the Role

The position involves providing in-patient and out-patient services on a part-time basis, focusing on evaluation, treatment, and home programming for various disorders. You will work closely with patients and caregivers to educate them on their condition, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide consultation services to other professionals, clinics, and agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, and fluency issues, receptive/expressive language disorders, and aural rehabilitation/auditory verbal therapy needs.
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques.
  • Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in speech/language pathology and be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Texas or be eligible for licensure. Prior pediatric experience is highly desirable, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech/Language Pathology are required.
