Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IC Design Engineer to join our team at II-VI Incorporated. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the development of best-in-class integrated circuits from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development of high-performance integrated circuits, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Assist in the evaluation of prototype silicon, working closely with the application and characterization team to optimize circuit performance.
  • Support IC qualification and transition to mass production, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with corporate cross-functional teams on advanced developments, driving innovation and excellence in IC design.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of five years of work experience, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with two years of work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with the design of wireless and/or wireline communication circuits, with a strong understanding of CMOS and SiGe BICMOS technologies.
  • Experience with Cadence IC design tools, including Virtuoso, Spectre, PVS, EMX, and Quantus.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience in critical custom integrated circuit layout, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and strong independence, with a self-motivated and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to relocate to Champaign, IL, USA.
Working Conditions
  • 40-hour work week, with a hybrid work arrangement (min 3 days on-site) available.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, carrying out multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others to exchange information.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow site EHS procedures, and II-VI Corporate EHS standards. This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by job responsibilities.
