Job Title: Senior IC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IC Design Engineer to join our team at Coherent Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing best-in-class integrated circuits from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development of high-performance integrated circuits, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Evaluate prototype silicon and provide feedback to the application and characterization team to improve design efficiency.
  • Support IC qualification and transition to mass production, ensuring seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with corporate teams on advanced developments, driving innovation and growth in the field of integrated circuits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with five years of work experience, or Master's degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering with two years of work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with the design of wireless and/or wireline communication circuits, with a solid understanding of CMOS and SiGe BICMOS technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with innovative thinking, willing to relocate to Champaign, IL, USA.
Working Conditions:
  • 40-hour work week, hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days on-site.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods, often standing or sitting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Safety Requirements:
  • Adherence to site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards, including the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by job responsibilities.
  • Participation in scheduled training and regular safety audits to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
