Job Summary

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical team. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit, including monitoring and managing patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, using telemetry equipment to detect changes in cardiac status and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments according to physician orders, ensuring proper dosage and monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients, collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care, promoting patient involvement in their own health management.
  • Assist with wound care, catheterizations, and other medical procedures, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with facility policies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition, providing critical care when necessary and coordinating with physicians for advanced interventions.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, helping them cope with illness and treatment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education to stay current with medical-surgical and telemetry nursing practices.

Requirements
  • Current RN state license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
  • Strong clinical skills, with the ability to perform patient assessments and manage care plans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
