Role Summary:
The Infrastructure Systems Specialist will oversee and support the Windows Server and Virtualization-based Microarchitecture Workbench (VMW) ecosystem, which includes both physical and virtual server environments.
This position is responsible for monitoring server performance to ensure optimal operation and that all backup processes are executed successfully.
Educational Requirements:
Associate's degree in Information Technology or a vocational/technical degree in a related discipline.
Certifications:
Preferred certifications include Microsoft, IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), and Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) (A+, Network +, Security +, etc.).
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including roles in Tier II/III support and operations.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven expertise in Microsoft management and operational tools such as Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Azure AD, ADFS, IIS, etc.
Proficient in mobile-device management (MDM) platforms (Intune, WorkspaceOne) to support a growing mobile workforce.Experience in configuring, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise monitoring solutions (SolarWinds, VMware vRealize Operations (vROps), Paessler Router Traffic Grapher (PRTG), etc.).
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Capable of comprehensive documentation of systems, procedures, and protocols, along with providing technical analysis and recommending solutions. Familiarity with scripting protocols. Ability to troubleshoot virtual desktop issues from both the end-user and application perspectives. Knowledge of file shares and related protocols. Understanding of backup and recovery systems.Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, maintain, manage, and troubleshoot MS Windows Server environments/applications hosted on Windows Servers. Ensure that operating environments are correctly configured and functioning with specified network backup and storage components.
Conduct daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all systems, hardware, server, and storage resources by reviewing key processes and system/application logs.
Regularly apply and upgrade OS patches, administrative tools, and utilities.Develop, maintain, and enforce server policies/procedures and create instructions for software installations on host servers to promote secure computing practices.
Provide technical oversight and consultation as required. Configure and deploy mobile devices according to end-user specifications.Deliver Tier III technical support for all enterprise systems, including but not limited to:
AD, Exchange, O365, and Azure.
Decision-Making Authority:
Exercise independent judgment in resolving non-routine issues under general supervision.
Collaborative Relationships:
Coordinate activities with others (does not involve direct supervision). Interact with internal and external clients via phone or in-person communication.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff, frequently engaging with individuals at the Director level or above.Additional Information:
