Job Summary:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager will work closely with Client Advisors to provide exceptional service to new and renewal clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial lines insurance and the ability to communicate complex information to clients in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with service needs on accounts, including explaining coverage options and exclusions, making coverage recommendations, and handling premium collections.
  • Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested, responding to client service requests in a timely manner to avoid potential E&O issues.
  • Review aged receivables and send out direct notice of cancellation per agency procedures.
  • Initiate renewal reviews and re-market accounts as appropriate to provide clients with the optimal solution for their assets and retention.
  • Maintain client accounts on the agency automation system, document conversations, and adhere to all other automation procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.
  • 220 license required.
  • Minimum 3 years commercial lines customer service experience or 1 year customer service representative experience and 2 years as a customer service assistant.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn agency automation systems and other automation/internet programs.
  • Strong typing skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret policy change requests and communicate the request clearly to the insurance company.
