Position Overview:

As a Business Associate, you will collaborate with the patient care team to ensure that we meet our patients' needs effectively. Your role will encompass the following key areas: Service Excellence, Collaboration and Teamwork, Technical Proficiency, and Positive Impact and Problem Solving. You will also be involved in additional tasks as requested by your department or manager to maintain efficient operations.

In alignment with our Patient and Family Centered Care (PFCC) principles, you will engage with patients and their families, ensuring their participation, dignity, respect, and collaboration throughout their care experience. This includes delivering outstanding customer service and making a positive first impression with every interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Excellence: Deliver exemplary customer service to all stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Uphold our customer service pledge at all times.
    • Interact courteously and professionally with patients and their families, ensuring a supportive environment.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Communicate effectively and sensitively with diverse patient populations and team members.
    • Demonstrate awareness of the unique needs and communication styles of our culturally diverse patients.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain proficiency in all relevant computer applications and telecommunication systems. Ensure the confidentiality of all patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Manage and maintain all medical records and documentation with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Positive Impact and Problem Solving: Foster a positive work environment and propose practical solutions to challenges.
    • Ensure that the workplace remains compliant with regulatory standards and is welcoming for patients and staff alike.
Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in secretarial studies is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 6 months of relevant work experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.

Licensure: Not applicable.

Special Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Proficient in computer use and able to follow both written and verbal instructions clearly. Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while demonstrating a caring attitude towards patients and families.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and maintain appropriate body mechanics. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, as well as standing and walking throughout the facility as needed.

Additional Information:
Work hours will include days with rotating weekends and holidays.
