Position Overview
AECOM is seeking a Roadway Discipline Lead to spearhead significant projects in the Pacific Northwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the principal engineer for large-scale, complex roadway projects.
- Guide and mentor a dedicated team of engineers.
- Authorize and validate project deliverables.
- Provide specialized knowledge for design and analysis initiatives.
- Communicate intricate technical solutions effectively to clients.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of engineering outputs.
- Lead and participate in task force meetings focused on roadway engineering.
- Prepare engineering budget estimates and timelines for major projects.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State or the ability to obtain it within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Roadway Discipline Lead on Design-Build projects.
- Proficiency in developing design packages for highway and roadway enhancement projects in Washington State, with experience working with WSDOT.
- Proven ability to manage a large engineering team in a dynamic environment.
- At least 12 years of progressively responsible technical experience.
- Expertise in Microstation and InRoads software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with WSDOT Design Build processes is advantageous.
