Position Overview

AECOM is seeking a Roadway Discipline Lead to spearhead significant projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the principal engineer for large-scale, complex roadway projects.
  • Guide and mentor a dedicated team of engineers.
  • Authorize and validate project deliverables.
  • Provide specialized knowledge for design and analysis initiatives.
  • Communicate intricate technical solutions effectively to clients.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of engineering outputs.
  • Lead and participate in task force meetings focused on roadway engineering.
  • Prepare engineering budget estimates and timelines for major projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State or the ability to obtain it within six months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Roadway Discipline Lead on Design-Build projects.
  • Proficiency in developing design packages for highway and roadway enhancement projects in Washington State, with experience working with WSDOT.
  • Proven ability to manage a large engineering team in a dynamic environment.
  • At least 12 years of progressively responsible technical experience.
  • Expertise in Microstation and InRoads software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with WSDOT Design Build processes is advantageous.
