Maintenance Technician Job Description

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, utilities, communications, and bathing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
  • Document maintenance performed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Responsible for the outside upkeep of the grounds, including mowing, trimming, and watering.
  • Complete requests for service as assigned by leader.
  • Maintain schedule and documentation of facility systems testing.
  • Run facility-related errands as requested by staff members.

Requirements:

  • One year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Ability to use vision for distances near and far.
  • Ability to hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery.
