JOB PURPOSE:
The Field Operator plays a crucial role in executing hands-on tasks while utilizing Weatherford's advanced equipment and systems. This position requires the application of established techniques and practices to fulfill assignments as per technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions.

This description serves as a general overview applicable to all levels of the Field Operator role, with senior positions potentially involving leadership responsibilities at the rig site for other Field Operators.

OPERATIONS:
  • Execute duties in accordance with documented Weatherford policies, adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures and Workplace Practices.
  • Engage in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox discussions, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), promptly reporting any issues using the appropriate channels.
  • Keep equipment, facilities, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Technical Work Instructions and completing work assignments to the highest quality standards within specified timeframes.
  • Conduct functional tests, inspections, and monitoring of equipment, strictly following specific work instructions aligned with training and competence levels.
  • Inspect used components to identify changes in dimensional requirements using measuring instruments.
  • Follow maintenance protocols for unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual inspections, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation as required.
  • Rig up/down equipment with strict adherence to specific work instructions based on training and competence.
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication, repairs, and operation of equipment as per work instructions.
  • Service and maintain mechanical, electronic, and hydraulic components according to established work instructions.
  • Operate vehicles such as pickups, trucks, and truck-mounted units to well sites, maintaining a satisfactory driving record.
  • In senior roles, lead other field operators in executing the above assignments, including job planning and coordination, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Senior positions may involve leading workshop activities, defining work assignment schedules, and evaluating work quality and efficiency through regular inspections.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors within the physical constraints of the role.

COMMUNICATION:
  • Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders, both internal and external as appropriate.
  • Supervisors & Managers should clearly articulate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to their team members.

FINANCIAL:
  • All employees are accountable for financial responsibility, whether managing a function budget or their own expenses.
  • Ensure costs are incurred within approved budgets and processed within agreed timeframes, adhering to relevant financial policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
REQUIRED:
  • 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • High School Diploma.

PREFERRED:

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:
