Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Direct Support Professional to provide assistance to individuals with special needs in the Atlanta area. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping participants develop essential life skills, maintain a safe and healthy environment, and engage in community activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct assistance in self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills training, retention, and improvement to individual participants and group participants.
  • Implement behavioral support plans to reduce inappropriate and maladaptive behaviors and assist with acquiring appropriate adaptive skills and behaviors.
  • Complete all required documentation, including progress notes, goal tracking sheets, and communication logs.
  • Ensure that the environment, pace of activities, and type of activities are ISP-directed or participant-directed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work in a group home or home-like setting.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of personnel.
