Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a highly skilled Director of Child Psychiatry Fellowship to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Our Behavioral Health Center offers a comprehensive suite of services for mental health, including First Episode Psychosis program, medical services, opioid treatment, substance use disorders services, and more.

As a Director of Child Psychiatry Fellowship, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum, supervising fellows, and developing program policies. You will work closely with the Chair and Chief to define educational resources and obtain commitment from teaching faculty.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a well-organized and effective curriculum for the fellowship program.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to fellows through explicit and agreed-upon supervisory lines of patient care responsibility.
  • Develop and oversee the application process, including document review, interviews, and match rank list determination.
  • Monitor fellow workloads and fatigue, and provide education on fatigue detection and management.
  • Evaluate fellows, faculty, and program performance, and document according to department standards.
Qualifications
  • Board certification in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry.
  • MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Two to three years of experience in an academic setting.
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
