Job Overview

The Parts Sales Representative will play a crucial role in assisting customers and technicians in selecting the right Harley-Davidson parts and accessories to enhance their motorcycles. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong product knowledge, and attention to detail to ensure customers receive top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction:
    • Greet and engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
    • Provide expert advice on parts compatibility, installation, and product features.
    • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Maximize sales by recommending related products and upgrades.
    • Maintain awareness of current promotions and communicate these to customers effectively.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and individual performance metrics.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels using the dealership's inventory system.
    • Coordinate the ordering and stocking of parts not currently in stock.
    • Participate in inventory counts and contribute to minimizing non-moving inventory.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure efficient delivery of parts for service jobs.
    • Provide updates on backordered or special-order parts to the Service Department and customers.
    • Assist the Parts Manager in creating engaging displays and merchandising efforts.
Requirements

To succeed as a Parts Sales Representative at Reno Harley-Davidson, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of Harley-Davidson parts, accessories, and motorcycles.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) and inventory management software.
