The Role

The primary objective of our business is to enhance health and improve life quality through innovative device solutions for treating Structural Heart conditions. We strive to lead the markets we operate in by ensuring our solutions offer superior benefit/risk profiles compared to existing care standards. This commitment drives our engineering, business development, and clinical research initiatives to achieve outcomes that elevate care standards.

The Territory Manager for Structural Interventions is a pivotal field role responsible for achieving and surpassing sales targets within the designated territory. This position collaborates with the Regional Director to assess market opportunities and sales potential, establishing and reaching annual sales goals. The Territory Manager will coordinate with clinical consultants and negotiate contracts with external clients, while also keeping the organization informed about market trends and competitive activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales activities by scheduling meetings with current and prospective clients to achieve revenue and unit growth targets.
  • Formulate and execute sales strategies by analyzing product, competition, and pricing dynamics of existing and potential accounts.
  • Create action plans by reviewing sales data and discussing account needs with the regional manager to meet sales objectives.
  • Identify key accounts and healthcare professionals to understand their clinical needs and challenges related to patient care.
  • Observe procedures in hospital labs and operating rooms to gain insights into physician and staff requirements.
  • Establish pricing structures in collaboration with Abbott Vascular personnel to meet customer needs while adhering to company policies.
  • Build relationships with hospital staff through networking and participation in relevant events to identify key decision-makers.
  • Enhance customer relationships through various sales support activities, including training and product launches.
  • Develop networks to promote company products by attending trade shows and educational seminars.
  • Educate external stakeholders on product benefits and proper usage through presentations and demonstrations.
  • Maintain clinical and technical knowledge by participating in product training sessions.
  • Monitor trends in managed care and competitor strategies to inform product development and sales approaches.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to sales management, analyzing data and projections.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant cardiovascular experience, including at least 3 years in Structural Heart or Electrophysiology sales.
  • Compliance with vendor credentialing requirements, which may include COVID-19 vaccination verification.

Preferred:

  • Degree in Life Sciences or Marketing.
  • Strong sales acumen and clinical knowledge, with experience in interventional cardiology and related fields.
