Location Description

Our state-of-the-art facility in the Village of West Jefferson, OH, is strategically located near the western suburbs of Columbus and approximately 20 minutes from downtown. We take pride in being Michael Foods' latest greenfield project, producing high-quality protein shakes that cater to a global audience. Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and reinforce safety as a core value.
  • Implement and enforce food safety and quality policies, procedures, and activities uniformly to minimize product and process variability.
  • Oversee all aspects of product manufacturing within the liquid processing and filling departments.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and teams focusing on human safety, food safety, and process enhancements.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed operational KPIs and goals for the departments.
  • Build and manage efficient operations teams, ensuring all employees are trained to meet company objectives related to human safety, product quality, and safety, human relations, and professional development.
  • Participate in plant management initiatives to promote facility growth and development, interacting constructively with all departments to achieve plant KPIs and goals.
  • Prepare department operating budgets, monitor and control expenditures, and take proactive measures to maintain optimum profitability and reduce operational costs.
  • Continuously improve product quality and yields.
  • Regularly report and present departmental performance and status.
  • Support the quality assurance department in consumer complaint investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Interact directly with regulatory inspectors, taking timely corrective action as needed.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of company rules, procedures, practices, and operational processes and parameters associated with the manufacturing facility.
  • Assume personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures, and incorporating safety and health into all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to quality work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained, reporting any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality to management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in production and supervision.
  • 3+ years of experience and knowledge of plant operations in aseptic filling.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Supervising personnel in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams and succession planning.
  • Preparing and managing department budgets.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • Experience in the dairy industry is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles is beneficial.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
  • Effective computer skills in MS Office Suite are required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
