Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Culinary Team Lead to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in running the kitchen and managing employees, overseeing the operations in the absence of the Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.
  • Oversee the training and development of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and recipes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality assurance standards.
  • Manage employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of productivity and quality.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Prep or Line Cook.
  • Experience leading a team and managing kitchen operations.
  • Food safety and quality assurance knowledge.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and experience working in a multi-faceted food service facility.
