Family Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Family Engagement Specialist to join our team at Joint Council for Economic Opportunity (JCEO). The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Family and Community Services Coordinator (F&CSC) by acting as a liaison for family advocates in Franklin County.
Key Responsibilities- Assist parents at local HS/EHS sites, providing resources and referrals, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Facilitate access to community services and implement eligibility and enrollment processes.
- Offer transportation, childcare, and other social services, while promoting family support and self-reliance.
- Participate in team meetings and act as a liaison between families, center teams, and outside agencies.
- Help maintain resource files and share information with parents through newsletters.
- Support the development of a calendar of events for parents and staff.
- Participate in self-assessment processes as directed.
- Attend Policy Council meetings and record minutes when the Secretary is unavailable.
- Ensure proper documentation of Non-Federal Share for volunteers and donations.
- Report instances of child abuse/neglect and follow up as required.
- Attend required meetings and trainings; submit reports on time.
- Assist with implementing the parenting curriculum through workshops and meetings.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
- Carry out duties in alignment with the mission of the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity, Inc.
- Associates Degree in a Human Services related field or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in the field preferred.
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license.
