Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our life safety product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices to operate low-voltage equipment.
  • Learn to complete service acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices.
  • Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation via laptop computer.
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes under direct supervision.
  • Complete assigned inspections on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • NICET Level 2 in Sprinkler certification or NC State Sprinkler Inspector License.
  • 3-5 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems preferred.
  • Able to obtain and retain required licenses.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
  • Demonstrates aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders and scaffolding.
  • Demonstrate high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Repair experience.
  • Backflow certification.
