About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Experience Representative to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver positive and effective customer service that supports the department's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with Referring Providers and Practices: Work closely with referring providers and practices to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedule Patients and Support the Patient Encounter: Schedule patients and provide support during the patient encounter to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Greet and Direct Patients, Families, and Visitors: Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner.
  • Monitor Daily Schedule and Coordinate Flow: Monitor the daily schedule and coordinate the flow of patients and clinicians to ensure efficient use of time.
  • Record and Forward Messages: Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate calls for emergency services as needed.
  • Provide Routine Clerical Support: Provide routine clerical support as needed, including preparing charts for clinics and taking vitals.
  • Contribute to Departmental and Organizational Initiatives: Actively contribute to departmental and organizational initiatives and projects with a focus on process improvement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Required: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Previous Customer Service or Administrative Experience: Previous customer service or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Ability to Work with Diverse Constituencies: Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
