Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures high-quality patient care and coordinates all functions in the unit during their designated shift. In collaboration with other managers, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.

  • Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participates in ongoing assessments of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
  • Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license. A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.

Estimated Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
