Position Summary


Walton Enterprises is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team, reporting to the Assistant Controller. This role is essential in establishing effective operational procedures, accounting practices, and reporting for our growing organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operational and financial accounting, managing daily finance activities such as liquidity management, financial accounts, and payment processing.


The Finance & Accounting department oversees accounting, reporting, treasury management, vendor relations, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting across all our initiatives.

The team comprises a Head of Finance & Accounting, Assistant Controller, Finance Operations Associate, Investment Accountant, and Financial Operations Specialist.

This team collaborates with various departments to support our mission.

Additional Responsibilities


Please note that this position description is not exhaustive and may evolve over time.

Facilitates enterprise operations, accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and specific project tasks.

Processes grant payments and ensures accurate reporting of grant activities in line with approved budgets.

Manages investment transactions, including the recording of monthly earnings and losses.

Handles accounts payable and receivable.

Maintains the general ledger, including regular entity closings and account reconciliations.

Organizes financial records and documentation.

Prepares quarterly and annual financial statements.

Supports the annual audit process and assists in the preparation of necessary tax forms with external providers.

Actively seeks opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and support the office, including collaboration with external partners.


Assists in developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures, documenting and monitoring key internal controls.

Generates financial reports and analyzes performance trends.


Assists the Head of Finance and Accounting and team members in overseeing projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.


In addition to accounting responsibilities, this role will support daily operational tasks as needed.


Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred).

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience with accounting software is preferred but not required.

Familiarity with high-net-worth individuals, asset management, or family office accounting is a plus.

Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills, with the ability to aggregate and present financial data effectively.Experience in budgeting and forecasting processes is advantageous.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Strong project management and organizational abilities.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
