Critical Care Nurse Specialist Opportunity
Christus Health is seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team on the Step-Down/Cardiac Unit. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality patient care.
About the Role
This is a Part-time position that offers flexible scheduling and a collaborative work environment. Our team prioritizes communication and teamwork, ensuring a supportive and engaging atmosphere for our nurses.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care to cardiovascular/thoracic patients and general medical surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
- Administer critical cardiac drips and manage patient medications.
- Assess patient conditions, detect potential issues, and respond quickly and confidently to emergent situations.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, wound care, lab value analysis, and IV management.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- At least 1 year of RN experience in a related field.
- A current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
- AHA BLS certification within two weeks of employment.
- ACLS and Arrhythmia Recognition Course certifications within eight weeks of employment.
