Job Summary:

A Critical Care Nurse Specialist at Christus Health delivers high-quality patient care through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. In addition, this role involves prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating patient teaching and the activities of ancillary nursing personnel while maintaining professional standards.

This position requires a Registered Professional Nurse to provide direct and indirect care to patients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and ancillary nursing personnel
  • Provide direct and indirect care to patients
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent
  • Twelve (12) months experience preferred
  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
  • AHA BLS – within two (2) weeks of employment
Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $82,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, Christus Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
