Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components and assemblies. The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date customer and industry certification, prepare products for presentation to customers, and ensure that customer purchase order requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date customer and industry certification and training for DSQR delegation
  • Prepare products and related paperwork for presentation to customer or source inspection as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative
  • Ensure customer purchase order requirements have been met and authorize shipment of products
  • Support Internal, Operator and Process, and Customer Audits as required
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance
  • Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual and non-conformities to blueprints and Kamatics' quality standards
  • Use a variety of conventional and advanced inspection gages and devices to verify dimensions to drawing specifications
  • Maintain records, data and logs as necessary
  • Provide leadership/training as needed and ensure that production schedules are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • 2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
