Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Intermedia Group, Inc. as a Panel Board Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing incoming customer orders, performing detailed reviews of layout and application of equipment, and reconciling pricing and delivery requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming customer orders, including detailed review of layout and application of equipment, wiring and schematic development, component selection, and verification of applicable codes and standards.
  • Reconcile pricing and lead time requests of incoming orders, using information supplied through proprietary pricing and configuration tool, order entry and invoicing system, and other communications from field sales and/or channel partners.
  • Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received from field sales and/or channel partners on incoming panelboard orders.
  • Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for panelboard configurations, utilizing proprietary pricing and configuration tool, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager as required.
  • Support field sales and channel partners on post order entry issues, such as change notice pricing, delivery quotations, Sales Engineer technical application assistance, and providing value-engineering solutions.
  • Provide input to the price and bill-of-material configuration tool development team on design and pick table enhancements that help minimize front-end cycle time as well as improves quality and accuracy.
  • Provide input to R&D department on new product application needs and designs as well as design refinements.
  • Interface with customers, channel partners, field sales, and order management functional team through participation in plant visits, training support, and customer events.
  • Exhibit a strong adherence to quality by continually seeking methods of improvement for all functions of the position.
  • Ensure that all products and parts adequately meet Eaton's quality guidelines as they move throughout the production process.
  • Perform quality checks as instructed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Drafting software (AutoCAD) skills.
  • Understanding of electricity (ohms law, wiring diagrams).
  • Customer service skills (email is majority, then phone).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of panel boards.
