Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Relief Operator to join our team at Pactiv Evergreen's Macon facility. As a Relief Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production lines, providing support to our team members, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide relief support to Dry End Operators during their breaks and perform all job duties at the Hot press, Float line, Printer, and Wrapper.
  • Follow all documented safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Collect and submit all completed orders to the Production Supervisor.
  • Input end of line data into the appropriate system.
  • Provide leadership during downtime per Production Supervisor guidance.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.
  • Provide assistance to the Natural Team Leaders and Production Supervisors during transition at shift change.
  • Immediately address and report safety issues or hazards.
  • Fills in as a back-up for the Natural Team Leader position as needed.
  • Follow established break guidelines.
  • Immediately address and report safety issues or hazards.
  • Maintain excellent safety record.
  • Maintain excellent attendance record.
Requirements
  • At least one (1) year experience in the Dry End of the Macon Facility.
  • Certified to operate float-line, hot-press, and printer.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment; including successful completion of jobs or similar activities requiring control of a mechanical process and inspection of product to meet quality standards.
  • Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

  • Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)
  • Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)
  • Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)
Education

High School Diploma or GED
