Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our team at Highland Hospital. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services for patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and healthcare team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment.
  • Assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by the Nurse Manager, including charge nurse or preceptor responsibilities.
  • Support peers in the delivery of patient care, using appropriate team communication methods, and practice care that reflects the patient condition and priorities.
  • Identify opportunities for self-growth and contribute to the development of other learners, contributing to a safe and efficient unit environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting.
  • BS in Nursing preferred.
  • Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers preferred).
