Respiratory Therapist RRT CRTT

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our respiratory department. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing respiratory care therapies.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 months of employment start date.
TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 218-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties.
