Sourcecode Inc. is seeking a skilled Wire Harness Technician. The Wire Harness Technician is tasked with the comprehensive assembly of wire harnesses, which includes but is not limited to pin crimping, wire splicing, heat shrink application, and labeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adheres to established processes and documented procedures for assembling wire harness products.
- Capable of interpreting wire harness assembly diagrams, schematics, and wire run lists.
- Executes crimping, splicing, cutting, stripping, labeling, and other necessary tasks.
- Conducts testing of cables as required.
- Complies with all ISO and ESD-related processes and protocols.
- Performs heat shrink application as needed.
- May utilize adhesives or potting compounds as specified in the assembly instructions.
- Works efficiently to meet production timelines.
- Must adhere to IPC 620 inspection standards and produce quality products.
- Responsible for accurately recording time using MRP and data collection systems.
- Proficient in using wire strippers and other relevant production tools for wire harness assembly.
- Assembles connectors and switches as part of the process.
- Conducts continuity testing as necessary.
- Retrieves and organizes all raw materials and components required for tasks.
- Utilizes automated and semi-automated equipment following instructions while adhering to safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintains a tidy and organized workspace.
- Prior experience in wire harness assembly is preferred.
- Organizes materials and tools efficiently to perform tasks.
- Detail-oriented and thorough in work execution.
- Collaborates effectively as part of a team or works independently.
- Communicates clearly and effectively.
- Interprets technical drawings and specified dimensions accurately.
- Consistently punctual and present at the workstation as required.
- Occasional use of a soldering iron may be necessary.
- Must possess the ability to read and write in English.
- Capable of lifting and carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
