Job Summary:

As a Trailer Technician at Dayton Freight, you will be responsible for performing maintenance services on our fleet of trailers, ensuring they are in top condition to meet the demands of our customers. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of trailer repair and maintenance, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including suspension and running gear components, landing gear assembly and components, wheel components and tires, brake and air components, electrical, lighting and wiring components, rear frame and door components, side, nose and roof components, and interior and floor components.

• Conduct thorough Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairs, maintaining a high level of welding and metal fabrication skills.

• Perform service calls, wash and fuel equipment as needed, and road test vehicles to ensure quality repair services were performed.

• Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with OSHA and company standards, and work in compliance with EPA regulations, DOT, and company safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Possess a valid Driver's License
• Basic math skills
• Fluent in English
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to pass a drug screen
