Job Description

The Judge Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team in a machining company in the west suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company that has demonstrated outstanding year-over-year growth.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing quality control systems and procedures to improve quality and productivity.

You will identify areas for improvement and apply engineering methodologies to implement new procedures.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing recommendations to improve quality and productivity
  • Exploring opportunities to improve products and processes
  • Participating in lean manufacturing activities such as Kaizen events, 5S, 8D, Preventative Maintenance programs, RCA, 5-Why, and other tools for enhancing productivity
  • Managing and leading internal quality audits
  • Maintaining quality compliance and certification as well as internal and external audits
  • Training employees on the proper tools and techniques to maintain compliance
  • Conducting quality and inspection testing
  • Performing DTA testing, CPK analysis, FMEAs, and PPAPs

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a similar discipline
  • 2+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus
