Security Systems Installation Specialist

Qualifications:

Proven experience in on-site installation within the security sector, including but not limited to CCTV, Alarm Systems, Fire Safety, and Access Control.
Possession of a current and valid state Physical Security license and/or Life Safety license relevant to the technology.
Willingness to travel as required.
Ability to interpret blueprints and site schematics.
Familiarity with CCTV, voice, and data cabling is advantageous.
Support pre-installation initiatives by designing and strategizing technical solutions.

Execute new installations and offer technical support both on-site at client locations and remotely through phone and specialized tools.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Access to basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation during the training phase prior to receiving a company vehicle.
Proficient in using computers, laptops, and smartphones.
Highly skilled in utilizing email, spreadsheets, and the capacity to learn internal systems.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving history; no DUI or DWI offenses in the past three years.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, diagnose, and repair cabling systems and equipment associated with Access Control.
Install low voltage and composite cabling in commercial properties, including drilling through concrete walls and completing conduit work as necessary.
Capable of installing door strikes and maglocks when required.

Ensure all wiring, connections, and equipment installations are completed to guarantee that access control systems meet customer satisfaction and contractual obligations.

Collaborate with the Installation Team Lead or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and the timely delivery of equipment.

Conduct tests to verify that all newly installed systems and components are fully operational.

Troubleshoot new system installations to confirm proper functionality and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes and legal and/or insurance requirements.
