Host Job Summary

The Host plays a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests at Casual American Restaurant & Food and Beverage Garden. As the first point of contact, the Host ensures a positive experience from the moment guests arrive. Key responsibilities include managing reservations, overseeing seating, and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
  • Effectively manage reservations, including incoming calls and online bookings, to minimize wait times and optimize table turnover.
  • Accurately record reservation details and maintain guest databases to ensure seamless communication and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with servers to ensure a coordinated dining experience, including table assignments and special requests.
  • Communicate with guests regarding wait times, menu inquiries, and special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist with takeout orders, coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely pickup.
  • Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in a Host role in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems, preferably OpenTable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage multiple tasks.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
