Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Support Students with a Wide Range of Learning, Mental, Emotional, and Physical Disabilities
  • Design Instruction and Materials to Meet the Needs of Students with Special Needs
  • Collaborate with General Education Staff to Develop Educational Plans
  • Monitor Student Progress and Participate in Review and Revision of IEPs
  • Maintain Accurate Student Records and Communicate with Parents and Colleagues
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University
  • Valid State Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum of One Year Experience in Teaching Environment
  • State Teacher Certification in Special Education
  • Endorsement in Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
  • Compliance with Professional Standards of Practice
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency Program
  • Current CPR and TB Questionnaire
  • Ability to Communicate Effectively and Maintain Confidentiality
