The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Merchandising to lead our Merchandising and Product Development team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the short and long-term strategy for category management, product creation, and vendor relationships. Your expertise will be crucial in driving growth across top-line sales and margin results, while maintaining a strong focus on consumer-centric strategies and best-in-class consumer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute category and product line plans that deliver on the overall Crunchyroll store vision and financial targets.
  • Oversee the Merchandising and Product Development team to optimize product and category mix, drive sales growth, and improve profitability.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure maximum partnerships through trade terms, first-to-market opportunities, and exclusives.
  • Build and develop a best-in-class product team across multiple locations, optimize processes, and drive new ways of working.
  • Maintain robust competitive intelligence to monitor industry and consumer trends, and digital commerce best practices.
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience within the digital commerce or retail industry.
  • Experience with product creation and working with external vendors.
  • Business problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing a team across multiple locations.
  • Overall planning and organizing competency.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a focus in business, or equivalent experience.
  • Data-driven and consumer-obsessed mindset.
