The Leidos National Security Sector has an opening for a Signal Processing Engineer to support the Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS), PSF/SNP program office.

This role will provide communication circuit support for the SBIRS communications architecture, performing circuit audits, troubleshooting circuit performance issues, and working with circuit stakeholders to negotiate and implement solutions.

The position will work with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) personnel and service portals to support existing and stand-up new communication circuits.

Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing circuit data for failure trend analysis and hardware usage, working with circuit support team and data owners to identify upcoming circuit need issues and develop mitigation plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of serial communications circuits, including Optical Transport Networks (OTN), Multi Service Provisioning Platform, Juniper routers, and circuit-to-packet network (CTP) appliances.

Additionally, the candidate should have clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with military personnel and leadership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and submitting new circuit orders, In-effect Reports (IER), Delayed Service Reports (DSR), and Approval-to-Connect (ATC) requests using DISA's StoreFront ordering portal and System Network Approval Portal (SNAP).

This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of four years of relevant experience, with additional years of experience, training, and/or certifications considered in lieu of education.
